Terms of use

CS Resurgence is run by Egon Merkel (Germany). In these terms "we" and "us" means them, and "you" means anyone who uses the site or the launcher.

CS Resurgence is a fan project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Counter-Strike, CS:GO and Steam are trademarks of Valve Corporation. Discord and FACEIT belong to their owners.

You must be at least 16 years old. If the law where you live sets a higher age for using a service like this without a parent's permission, you need that permission too.

You sign in with Discord. To queue you also need a Steam account that passes our checks, which look at things like playtime, account age and VAC or game bans. We decide who passes, and during the beta we may limit who can sign in at all.

One account per person. Don't share your account, sell it, or play on someone else's.

Keep your Discord and Steam accounts secure, because they are how you get into CS Resurgence. You can see and sign out your active sessions in Settings. Tell us straight away if you think someone else got in.

You are responsible for what happens on your account.

When you use CS Resurgence you must not:

• use cheats, scripts, macros or any software that gives you an unfair advantage
• exploit bugs on purpose, or keep using one after you found it instead of reporting it
• boost, throw, fix matches or trade wins with other players
• play on a second account to get easier matches, or let someone else play on yours
• harass, threaten or abuse other players, or post hateful or sexual content
• spam chat, impersonate staff or other players, or scam people in trades
• attack, overload or probe our servers, or try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours

If you break these rules we can warn you, add queue penalties, block trading or the market, remove coins and items gained through the abuse, or ban your account. We decide based on what we can see, and we don't always explain the evidence, because that would help people get around it. If you think we got it wrong, contact us.

Coins, cases, skins and other items on CS Resurgence only exist on our platform. They are not Steam items, they can't be moved to Steam, and they have no value in real money.

You get a licence to use them on CS Resurgence while your account is in good standing. You don't own them. You can't sell them, or your account, for real money or anything else outside CS Resurgence.

Cases give a random item. What you get depends on the odds for that case.

Trades and market sales are final once both sides confirm. Check what you're giving before you accept.

We can change prices, odds, drop rates and how items work, add or remove items, and reset balances or inventories when the game needs it. We'll try to warn you before a reset, but we can't promise to.

Paid features are not available yet. This section applies once they launch.

We plan to offer a CS Resurgence Plus subscription and coin packs. Coins you get from a payment, including a donation that gives coins, count as a purchase and follow the rules in Coins, cases and items. They have no cash value and can't be exchanged back for money.

Prices are shown before you pay, including any tax. Payments are handled by a payment provider, so we don't see or store your full card details.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and it stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.

Coins and subscription benefits are delivered right after you pay. If you live in the EU or UK you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. When you buy, you agree to immediate delivery and accept that you lose that right once the coins or benefits are added to your account.

Apart from that, payments aren't refundable unless the law where you live says otherwise, or we made a mistake, for example charging you twice. If we ban your account for breaking these terms, you don't get a refund for unused coins or time left on a subscription.

You can use the launcher for free to play on CS Resurgence. It updates itself, and an update may be required to keep playing.

Don't modify, decompile or reverse engineer the launcher to cheat, get around a ban or interfere with other players. The launcher page explains what the launcher does on your PC, and the privacy policy covers what it sends us.

Your name, avatar, chat messages, market listings and anything else you put on CS Resurgence stay yours. You give us permission to show them on CS Resurgence, and in our Discord when you choose to share a listing there, for as long as they're on the platform.

We can remove anything that breaks these terms.

Some public pages show ads from Google. The launcher doesn't show ads. The privacy policy explains the cookies ads use and how to opt out.

CS Resurgence is in beta. Features break, servers go down, and match results, stats or items can be lost. We provide CS Resurgence as it is, without promising it will always be available or free of errors.

We can change, pause or stop any part of CS Resurgence, including the whole platform.

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, lost data or virtual items, or anything caused by third-party services such as Steam, Discord or your game installation.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer that the law says can't be limited, or our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or injury caused by our negligence.

You can stop using CS Resurgence at any time. To delete your account, contact us and we'll do it as the privacy policy describes.

We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we shut CS Resurgence down.

We'll update these terms as CS Resurgence changes. For bigger changes we'll post in Discord or show a notice on the site before they take effect. If you keep playing after that, the new terms apply.

These terms are governed by the law of Germany. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the law where you live, and you can take a dispute to the courts there.
